The Path to Studienkolleg

What is Studienkolleg: One-year special schools that prepare for university in Germany. Mandatory for students whose diplomas are not recognized as equivalent.
Entrance Exam: Aufnahmeprüfung consists of German and basic subject courses (Mathematics, Physics, etc.).
Course Types: T-Kurs (Technical/Engineering), M-Kurs (Medicine/Biology), W-Kurs (Economics/Business), G-Kurs (Law/Social).
Language Level: Minimum B1 for Studienkolleg application, some require B2 level.
Subject Courses: Mathematics in German, physics and chemistry terminology, graph reading.

Questions about Studienkolleg Preparation

Studienkolleg applications are usually made through Uni-Assist. Each state has its own Studienkollegs and application dates vary (usually May and November).

You need to apply to the Studienkolleg in the state where the university you want to study is located. For example, if you want to study in Berlin, you apply to Berlin Studienkolleg.

The entrance exam is quite competitive and thousands of students apply each year. However, if you prepare well, your chances of success are high. You can test yourself with mock exams in our course.

State Studienkollegs are free (only semester fee ~300 €). Private Studienkollegs are paid (annually 5,000-10,000 €).

Our courses offer you a flexible learning experience: Hybrid Education: Your course consists of a combination of face-to-face classes and live online classes. Thanks to the hybrid system, you can also attend classes online whenever you want on face-to-face class days. Live Online Education: In this format, you attend classes completely live and online.

Our Intensive German programs include listening and reading comprehension with current texts, comprehensive grammar studies, and various communication-focused activities. This aims to develop your speaking and writing skills in a goal-oriented manner.

To receive university education in Germany, you must first have recognized university entrance qualification (HZB). It is recommended to check whether your diploma is recognized in Germany through the anabin system. You also need to document your German language proficiency with official certificates such as telc, DSH. The Campus German University Preparation Program is designed for you to prepare for this process completely.

You must be at least 18 years old. You must submit a blocked account opened in Germany or an official commitment letter.

Student Visa: Also covers the right to participate in preparatory German courses. There is no visa requirement for EU citizens.
