WG & Accommodation in Bremen
Finding the right accommodation is an important part of planning your stay in Bremen.
Campus German does not operate its own student accommodation. Instead, we help our students understand the available options and, when needed, connect them with independent WG placement providers in Bremen.
This allows us to focus on your language education while you arrange your accommodation directly with the relevant landlord or housing provider.
WG Rooms in Bremen
A WG (Wohngemeinschaft) is a shared apartment where you have your own private room and share areas such as the kitchen and bathroom with other residents.
For many international students, a WG is one of the most practical ways to live in Bremen.
Typical WG rooms arranged through external placement providers are approximately:
- €500–€600 per month
The exact price depends on the location, room size and apartment.
A €100 placement/coordination fee applies if you would like to use this connection service.
How Does the WG Process Work?
- First, complete your language course registration with Campus German.
- Continue with your visa application.
- Once your visa appointment has been assigned and your planned arrival date is clearer, contact us again regarding accommodation.
- We will connect you with people who specialize in WG placement in Bremen.
- The accommodation provider will discuss the available rooms and rental conditions directly with you.
We intentionally arrange the housing process closer to your actual arrival date.
Unlike a language course, a WG room normally cannot simply be postponed without rental costs. Arranging accommodation too early may therefore mean paying rent before you have arrived in Germany.
For students applying from abroad, we recommend planning enough time between the visa application and the intended arrival date — typically 2–4 months before arrival for private residences, and contacting us about WG placement after your visa appointment is set.

Prefer Your Own Studio?
If you prefer more privacy, a private student studio may be a better option.
THE FIZZ Bremen
THE FIZZ Bremen is a private student residence located directly opposite the University of Bremen campus.
It offers furnished single and double studios as well as common areas for studying and meeting other students.
Students book their studio and sign the rental agreement directly with THE FIZZ.
Availability can change quickly, especially before the beginning of a new semester, so we recommend checking availability early — ideally 3–6 months before your intended move-in.

Find a WG Yourself

When applying to a WG yourself, a short introduction letter (who you are, when you arrive, how long you stay, what you study) usually helps. Write in German if you can; English is often accepted for international WGs.
Important to Know
Campus German is your language school and does not act as your landlord.
Rental agreements, deposits, room conditions and rental payments are agreed directly between you and the respective accommodation provider or landlord.
Our goal is not to generate additional income from your rent, but to help you find a practical starting point for your accommodation search in Bremen.
